1. What Information We Collect
We collect some information directly from you, such as data you enter yourself, information related to course usage, and information from third-party platforms that interact with us. We also automatically gather some information, such as details about your device and the parts of the services you interact with or the time you spend using them. All the information mentioned in this section is subject to activities including: collection, recording, structuring, storage, alteration, retrieval, encryption, deletion, combination, and transfer.
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
Depending on how you use the services, we may collect various types of information about you. Below are some examples to help you better understand what information is collected.
When you create an account and use the services, including through a third-party platform, we collect any information you provide directly:

Account Information: To use specific features (such as accessing content), you need to create a user account, which requires collecting and storing your email address, password, and account settings. For creating an instructor account, we collect and store your name, email address, password, and account settings. While using certain features on the site, you may be asked to provide additional information, including occupation, identity details, photo, date of birth, race/ethnicity, skill interests, phone number, etc. When you create an account, we assign you a unique identification number.

Profile Information: You may also choose to provide profile information such as a photo, title, biography, language, website link, social media profiles, country, or other details. Your profile information will be publicly visible to others.
Shared Content: Part of the services allows you to interact with other users or publicly share content, including submitting lecture and educational materials, commenting on content, asking or answering questions, messaging students or instructors, or sharing photos or other recorded works. Such published content may be publicly visible depending on where it is placed.
Learning Information: When you access content, we collect specific information, including the lecture, assignments, labs, workspaces, and tests you have started and completed; purchases and content credits; subscriptions; completion certificates; your exchanges with instructors, teaching assistants, and other students; and articles, answers to questions, and other materials you provide to meet course and related content needs.
Student Payment Information: If you make a purchase, we collect specific information about your purchase (such as name, billing address, and postal code) that is necessary for processing your order and may optionally be saved for future orders. You must provide some billing and payment information directly to our payment service providers, including your name, credit card information, billing address, and code. We may also receive limited information, such as that you have a new card and the last four digits of that card, from payment service providers to facilitate payment processing. For security reasons, we do not collect or store sensitive card information such as full credit card numbers or card verification data.
Legal Commitment: Legal interests (facilitating payment, fraud prevention, and security)
Instructor Payment Information: If you are an instructor, you can link your payment account with us to receive payments. When you connect a payment account, we collect and use specific information such as the email address of your payment account, account number, physical address, or other information necessary to send payments to your account. In some cases, to comply with applicable laws, we also work with third-party entities that legally collect tax information. This tax information may include details related to residency, tax identification numbers, biographical information, and other personal information necessary for tax purposes. For security reasons, we do not collect or store bank account information. The collection, use, and disclosure of your payment, billing, and tax information are subject to the privacy policy and other terms of your payment account provider.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for purposes such as providing our services, communicating with you, resolving issues, preventing fraud and abuse, improving our services, analyzing how individuals use the services, providing personalized advertising, and as a legal or necessary requirement for security and integrity. We share some of your information with instructors, other students, companies that provide services for us, affiliates, our business partners, data analytics and enrichment providers, your social media providers, companies that help us execute advertising and surveys, and advertising companies that assist us in promoting our services. We may also share your information as part of security measures, compliance with laws, or as part of a corporate restructuring. Finally, we can share data in other ways if that information is de-identified or if we obtain your consent.
We may share your information with third parties under the following conditions or in other ways as described in this privacy policy:
With Your Instructors: We share information we have about you (except your email address) with instructors or teaching assistants regarding the content you access or have requested information about, so they can improve their content for you and other students. This information may include details such as your country, browser language, operating system, device settings, the site that referred you, and some activities within the service, such as enrolled courses and course ratings. With Other Students and Instructors: Depending on your settings, shared content and your profile information may be publicly visible, including to other students and instructors. With Service Providers, Contractors, and Agents: We share your information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, fraud prevention, data analytics, marketing and advertising services (including retargeting), email and hosting services, and customer support. De-identified information means that we have removed items such as your name and email address and replaced them with a token ID. This allows these providers to provide analytics services or match your information with public information (including contact and social information from other sources). To Enable Social Media Features: Social media features in the services (like the Facebook “Like” button) may allow the third-party social media provider to collect information such as your IP address and which page of the services you are visiting and set a cookie or web beacon to enable the feature. - If you encounter any issues while canceling your account, please contact our support team.
Please Note:
Even after your account is canceled, some or all of your information may still be visible to others, including but not limited to any information that (a) has been copied, saved, or published by other users (including comments on content); (b) has been shared or published by you or others (including in your shared content); or (c) has been sent to a third-party platform. We will retain your information for as long as we have a legal reason to do so, including to help fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain and disclose such information according to this privacy policy after your account is canceled.

Any terms not specifically defined in this policy will be defined in the terms of use of Mbtelm.com. Any version of this privacy policy provided in a language other than Dari is for convenience. In the event of any conflict between the non-Dari version and the Dari version, you agree that the Dari version will take precedence.
